Suteki ni Nurse Days is a mash up of other fun little games.

Before you get into the game play, you have to dress up your character in a very basic

beauty school style. Then it shows a little animation of her walking to work (you cant

choose a male character). You shouldn't have too much trouble navigating the Japanese

here, it's fairly straight forward, just choose the second option when you're stuck in

a loop explaining how to choose a dress.

The second time I walked to work, it showed a picture of a guy looking shocked, and little

red circle appeared at the bottom of the screen. I assumed this was a judgment of how

well I dressed, and whether or not guys checked me out on the way to work. Nice.

Once at work, your lack of Japanese reading will cause a little bit more trouble. Many people

will talk to you, and you are made to make choices which give some characters a little bit of

love. My guess is that this part of the game is about making everyone happy, which will be

impossible not being able to read Japanese. (I'll learn it eventually). Mashing 'A' through

these parts will progress you past it.

Then you are into the third part of the game, which is a top down view of you in the hospital.

What to do here is far from obvious. And you'll spend some time wondering around trying to

figure out who to talk to. (There are flags on the map that help greatly, so look for these

and problem solved) Once you find a person with an exclamation point above them, talk to

them and you will open up a mini game.

The first one I found was a swine flu epidemic. In which the waiting room is filling with a flood

of people. You have to quickly throw face masks on them if they are coughing, or give a

thermometer to them if they have a fever. Every time you find a new game, there is an

option to read instructions, these being in Japanese are only helpful through the pictures,

which aren't that clear. But using a bit of intuition, you should be able to figure out.

The mini games are your normal fun DS games with a hospital theme to it. I played a few

of them, and they were all fast paced, but easy. It's obviously targeted towards younger

people (especially girls) but it was a lot of fun, and a bit addictive.

Nice simple graphics, smooth game play and use of stylus. It's made well.

The game saves automatically.

Level of Japanese Comprehension Required: 2/10

There are chunks of dialogue that you cannot read, but I had the feeling they were not

part of a story, but rather just casual chatting. The mini-games are easy to figure out

and you should be able to get a lot of enjoyment out of this game with little to no

understanding of the language. As I said, the only frustration for you will be the

'making people happy' part, but it didn't seem that important.
